Students shall maintain discipline and decorum, both inside and outside the Institute and hostel premises. They shall abide by the rules and regulations of the Institution and the University and shall not indulge in any objectionable conduct such as breach of discipline, disobedience, reprehensible conduct and disorderly behaviour including ragging. They must extend courtesy and cooperation to all the employees of the Institution. If it is found that a student has committed any offence, he / she will be called upon to explain his / her conduct and if his / her explanation is not satisfactory, the Principal of the Institute, being the disciplinary authority, may take disciplinary actions, such as imposition of fines, suspension and rustication from the College as he deems fit.
 
Ragging in any form inside or outside the institute and hostel premises is strictly prohibited. Ragging being a cognisable offence, the punishment for ragging may be summary expulsion from the institute.
 
Consumption of alcohol / narcotics (Gutkha) and smoking inside or outside the Institute and hostel premises is banned. Any student found under such influence has to face punitive action.
 
Use of cell-phone in classrooms, laboratories, examination halls, library, meetings, seminars and conference is strictly prohibited.
 
Any of the following acts will be considered as an act of misconduct and will be severely dealt:
 
• Inviting outsiders to the Institute and hostels without the permission of the authorities.
• Bringing antisocial elements to the Institute and hostel.
• Unauthorized absence from the class and hostel.
• Mass absence from classes.
• Motivating students to boycott classes or demand postponement of examination or tests
• Taking part / participating in agitation, which may be considered unlawful by the authorities.
• Willful participation in vandalism or damage to the Institute and Hostel properties. In addition to exemplary punishment the entire loss due to damage will be recovered from the individual or groups.
• Stealing or mutilating library books and other properties of the Institute and hostel.
• Misbehavior with fellow students and employees of the Institute.
• Adoption of unfair means in any form
• Any other act, which may be viewed by the authorities as an act of indiscipline.
 
All students are issued with identity cards, which should be in their possession while in the Institute or outside. The same should be produced whenever required.
