The Department of Automobile Engineering at Suddhananda Residential Polytechnic (SRP) was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 30. SRP (Automobile Engineering) Program was duly approved by the AICTE and affiliated to SCTE & VT, Govt. of Odisha, Bhubaneswar. The Department enables the students to develop professional skills through practical & theory work. This Course caters to train the students to design, develop, manufacture and repair automobiles. The demand of automobile engineering is growing with the expansion of automobile industries.

 

It has high qualified and dedicated faculty who teach, guide and motivate the students. The department has laid absolute importance in providing the best lab facilities, which includes Engines lab, chassis and transmission, CAD/CAM lab and workshops. The students are given training's in the areas of design and software Exposure apart from their academic studies. During the winter and summer vacation periods students are send for industrial training's in public sector and private organizations. To have an up to date practical knowledge, industrial visits are arranged to the students in both the semesters.

 

Students are motivated to participate in curricular and co curricular activities within and outside the institution. Most of the students are self employed, under gone higher studies and placed in various industries.
