Head of Department

It is with immense pride and a sense of great responsibility that I welcome you to the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering at Suddhananda Residential Polytechnic (SRP). As the Head of these two dynamic departments, I am dedicated to fostering an environment where innovation meets practical skill, and theoretical knowledge is transformed into engineering excellence.

Our Mechanical Engineering department, with a robust strength of 90 students, serves as the cornerstone of industrial growth. We focus on core areas such as design, thermal sciences, manufacturing, and robotics, equipping our students to become the architects of modern machinery and sustainable industrial solutions. Alongside, our Automobile Engineering department, with 30 enthusiastic students, delves into the fast-evolving world of vehicle dynamics, electric and hybrid technologies, and automotive design, preparing skilled engineers for the future of mobility.

At SRP, we believe that true engineering prowess is built in the workshop and the lab as much as in the classroom. Our state-of-the-art facilities provide students with hands-on experience in CNC machining, engine testing, vehicle servicing, and prototyping. This practical exposure is complemented by a curriculum designed in alignment with industry demands and emerging technological trends.

Our faculty members are committed mentors who guide students not only in academic pursuits but also in projects, internships, and competitive events. We emphasize values such as precision, safety, teamwork, and ethical engineering—qualities essential for successful careers.

I am inspired daily by the curiosity and dedication of our students. Together, we are building a legacy of quality and creativity in engineering.

To all aspiring engineers: Join us to shape the machines and vehicles of tomorrow. Let’s engineer a better future, together.

Sincerely,

Mr. Satyabrata Nayak
