Head of Department

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Department of Basic Science and Humanities at Suddhananda Residential Polytechnic (SRP). While our institution is dedicated to producing skilled technical professionals, we firmly believe that a strong foundation in basic sciences and humanities is essential for developing well-rounded, innovative, and socially responsible engineers.

The Department of Basic Science and Humanities serves as the cornerstone of the engineering education at SRP. Our curriculum in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Communication Skills provides the fundamental principles and analytical tools that underpin all branches of engineering. We aim to ignite scientific curiosity, foster critical thinking, and enhance problem-solving abilities from the very first day a student steps into our campus.

Beyond equations and formulas, our humanities subjects, including English and soft skills, are designed to mold effective communicators and ethical leaders. In today's globalized world, the ability to articulate ideas clearly, work in teams, and understand the broader societal impact of technology is what distinguishes a good engineer from a great one.

Our faculty is committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. We strive to make the learning of fundamental concepts interactive and relevant, connecting them to real-world engineering challenges.

To our students, I say: Embrace these foundational years with enthusiasm. The knowledge and skills you gain here will be the bedrock upon which you will build your specialized technical expertise. This is where you learn to think like an engineer.

We are proud to play a pivotal role in your journey at SRP and are dedicated to your holistic growth.

Sincerely,

Miss Sikharani Patra
